Chronicling autumn (November 5)

Come November and you can still find a glorious Autumn! Normandy somehow stays greener than most other French départments (states).
I love how leaves scale the walls! I've seen this a lot on French house and I need to figure out how this is done and how the manage to trim the creepers.
The window of the house above is surrounded by such beautiful gifts from nature. I am pretty sure you can't see anything else beside the façade of the window here. But the owner apparently saw me photographing her house and came to tell me that this a "titre privé" (I think that's what she said), which obviously meant it's private. Seriously man, what's the big deal! This house and it's windows resemble 60 million French people's homes! I'm only capturing an inanimate object on film! I rarely take photos of human beings (and let alone put them on a public website!), but the woman wouldn't hear me out! talk about being prissy! I had to promise her I was only going to keep the photographs as souvenirs. Yeah right!

Oh I have a new friend! Meet Duke Autumn. He's not overtly friendly. He comes to the porch once I leave his food at the doorstep and close the door behind me. Not too fond of human contact but he's working on those issues. In the beginning he wouldn't even be enticed by the smell of food! I guess food the means to every friendship! ha! So yes, I chose the name Duke because he has such a regal demeanour and Autumn because well he came to me during my favourite season! x
